HISTORY

"The vision behind GLAM originated in the best place possible...the deep and dark depths of my own personal struggle...'but God intended to use it for good.' (Gen. 50:20) After years of binge eating, constant working out, and obsession with external appearances, nothing was left but a thirsty and unsatisfied soul.  I knew that God wanted a full and abundant life for me, but that was the opposite of how I was living. It was clear that real change was not going to come from just altering my behavior; I had tried that for years with no lasting success. I needed something deeper, something transformative and renewing. I needed soul surgery. Plato said once, "If the head and body are to be well, you must begin with the soul; that is the first thing." And so this soul-journey began. It has been years of God transforming & renewing me; body, mind & soul. Through God's transformation and authentic community I have experienced freedom, healing & a life lived with less of a need to conform to the ways of this world (Romans 12:2) and more of a desire to be the woman God created me to be. I have a real passion for sharing that freedom with all women, which is the basis for GLAM." - Brooke Lee, Founder

Out of a calling and passion to serve the Lord, the first ever GLAM night was launched in the Spring of 2011 in Menlo Park, CA. It was a night for middle and high school girls to come together and talk about issues and struggles that women in our society face everyday. And chains were broken, and freedom was felt, and it was good.

Today, GLAM ministers to women of all ages throughout the United States. To learn more about our upcoming events and curriculum contact us, or subscribe to our email updates below.
